A folding glass balcony is a glass balcony system where the glass panels gather at the side through horizontal movement, allowing your living space to be completely opened or closed for balcony enclosure.
With the folding glass balcony system XENA™, this freedom of movement is combined with a simpler design and smarter details. It transforms your balcony, terrace, or veranda into a closed and sheltered living space when you need it, and a completely open one whenever you wish. Because sometimes, the true purpose of a glass balcony is not to close a space, but to be able to open it.
What is XENA™?
XENA™ Folding Glass Balcony
XENA™ is a new generation solution developed in the Winnice R&D center, which brings a different approach to folding glass balcony systems with its handle-free design.
Thanks to its design that eliminates the guide/horn detail used in traditional systems, you can position your curtains closer to the system and avoid dealing with extra hardware when opening and closing the panels. Every detail of XENA has been designed for more comfortable use, a cleaner appearance, and the freedom to use your living space more openly.
How does XENA™ work?
Folding Glass Balcony
In XENA, the glass panels move on tracks and, when desired, can be folded and gathered at the side.
Thanks to the patented XWL system, the panels lock automatically when opened at 90°. This prevents the wind from closing the open panels on its own. The ability to stop each glass panel independently allows you to control the system at any point you desire.
What are the features of XENA™?
Hornless System
No horn. No obstacle to the curtain.
The most characteristic feature of XENA is its hornless structure.
You can mount your curtain closer to the system, and you are saved from the hassle of opening and closing the horn encountered in traditional folding glass balconies.
XWL System
It knows what to do in the wind.
XENA's patented XWL system automatically engages and secures the sash when the sash is opened to 90°.
This prevents the wind from unintentionally closing the open sash.
Independent Shutdown
Each glass pane decides on its own.
Thanks to the independent stopping feature for each glass panel, you can stop the panels at any point you desire.
This is not just ease of use; it means having greater control over how you use your open space.
Shock-Absorbing Bearing System
Does not shake. Makes no noise.
The long-lasting shock-absorbing bearing system helps the wheels move in a balanced way on the rail under different conditions.
The balanced distribution of the sash weight between the upper and lower rails contributes to reducing the shaking and noise that may occur, especially in windy weather.
Complementary Ecosystem
Air, dust, and water stay out.
Thanks to the special gaskets used in XENA, the double-sided rubber gasket on the side post, and the bottom sealing gasket, insulation against air, dust, and water is provided.
The hidden drip channel helps to drain the water in a controlled manner within the system.
+Plus Features
XENA PLUS™
For those who want to combine the freedom offered by XENA with higher insulation expectations, XENA PLUS comes into play.
Thanks to its 4+22+4 double glazing option, it offers a stronger insulation solution. If desired, blinds can be applied between the double glazing; different solutions can also be created according to the usage scenario with "Synergy" and "Comfort" glass options.
In XENA PLUS, rubber seals are used at the joint points with the ZERO AIR approach.
